Is it easy for us to install an SSD by ourselves? (I'm not a geek)
Nobody knows until someone has taken the machines apart. On the previous model, there was very, very, very limited space for the SSD drive; Apple just about managed to squeeze it in, and it was in a location that wasn't easily accessible at all, so adding one yourself was very difficult (the kind of difficult where if you ask how difficult it is then it is too difficult for you).

They will. Microsoft doing this will definitely cause Apple to be less stingy with the R&D and get some great small products to market.

Seriously though, what the hell happened to all those new products and updates? Where is the Mighty Mouse BT or the new ipod Video? Does anybody still remember those rumors about the iPhone? Or even those long overdue updates of the Airport Express and Airport Extreme, which would allow for video and higher speeds?

they probably had it in the labs, but the pricing finally came down this year. 3D is a dud and internet enabled TV's dropped in price by 50% in some cases since last summer
if apple doesn't get into this market then itunes is going to be dead in a few years along with other idevices

With these new big units no more need for GPU...

Here are the specs: iso 100, 120mm, 0 EV, f/5.6, 1/250.
EDIT: Not too bad! Obviously, the raw file looks better. I was photographing this squirrel who was about 15-20 feet away from me and he/she ran to me, stopped, posed, and ran away. :) The squirrel was super close to me, like 4 feet or so.

What about those who lost their lives in 9/11? They probably deserved to live, but can you give them life back?
Like I said - the world needed him alive, and I wish they had just captured him instead. Nothing constructive comes out of cheering over somebody else's death.
Most of the Muslim students in my old high-school were cheering and having a great celebration after 9/11. That is the real reason why I have had problems with Muslims in general since after that day (though I must admit I was already sceptical after the Rushdie case). I know they didn't cause 9/11 by celebrating it after it had already happened... but would they have been cheering happily if I had died in a similar attack?
But if I were in NYC today, I'd probably celebrate with the rest, be it ever so wrong. I'm only human, and I love revenge, just like everybody else :D

To be honest, I've had more application crashes and restarts on OSX than I have under XP/Windows in the past 3 years. So much for "crash resistant" - and yes, I've had 4 kernel panics since I got this iMac home; that's more than the number of BSODs I've had under XP in 4 years.
Which means -- as everyone is saying -- that there is something wrong with your computer. I have a MacBook, two Intel iMacs, and a Mac Pro in my house, and they do not crash despite heavy daily use. My poor Mac Pro is running three different operating systems right now using Parallels, with nary a complaint. If you are getting unexplained kernel panics on a clean install of Mac OS X, then you have a hardware problem.
Hardware problems can affect any OS -- I've seen Windows systems that get daily BSODs. It's not because "Windows sucks", it's because there was a sub-par memory chip or somesuch in the system. Likewise Mac OS X crashes, when nobody else is experiencing a problem, are not an indication of the stability of the OS but rather of your hardware.
You're quoting me back to me when all of us (including me) were talking about that other guy that is having hardware problems because his Parallels "sucks." Parallels kicks ass on my C2D 20" iMac - hence the reason I piped up to be the first to say something is wrong with the other guy's machine if he can't get it working right.
On mine, which is stock hardware except for the 2GB of RAM I have in it, Parallels starts up in 4 seconds, boots my XP VM in 9-10, shuts down in 3-4, restarts the same VM in under 5 seconds (have yet to figure that one out, probably because of caching someplace; I don't even see the XP splash screen when it reboots/restarts because it's so fast), suspends in 22-25 seconds, resumes in 30-34, and I have no issues with any hardware at all in my XP VM. Remotes are pretty common too, though it's usually an extra option unless the media version of XP is installed. I can remember looking at a Sony laptop geared towards being a media center with a remote back when the centrino platform first came out and skipping that option when I bought a Dell at the same time. The last sound card I bought also came with one. You're right, nothing innovative there.
I think Apple is starting to slide in this department, though you certainly can't argue with the results in terms of profit. Products are still nice (as I type this on a MBP and dream about the rumored upcoming 8 core MP) but nothing that I look at and think "Wow nobody else is doing this!". I have a feeling that whatever problems they had with the white color was solved a long time ago. I'm sure they've been ready to produce white iPhones fr several months and are waiting till the 1 year anniversary time fram to start shipping the white iPhone to boost sales seeing as the iPhone 5 was pushed back to September.
I have a feeling that if the problems were fixed a long time ago, they'd be selling the phone a long time ago. Have you seen all these comments about people waiting to buy white iPhones? Of which i was one.

As for the time it took Apple to create a stable version I disagree...the first desktop version that was available came out in March 2001. I would say that Jaguar was the first completely stable version, which came out in August 2002. Even if you disagree my PowerBook has been completely stable since I got it (it shipped with 10.2.7) in September 2003. Just over two years. My XP boxes have been far less stable.
Well, I actually didn't have a problem with any version of XP, even before I had installed XP2. The first releases of OSX were pretty hellish for me. Panther was fine; then I installed Tiger and I was back in beta land, which is when I decided to move the business-related stuff back to XP and just do the fun stuff on OSX. Fortunately Apple released a fix a few weeks after they released Tiger.
Also, Apple charges because they offer new things to the operating system, not just stability fixes. OS X updates are also cheaper.
Well, I don't think they've really done that much. They've mashed a few extra look and feels into the UI, added dashboard (and I'm not even sure they invented that), Automator (wich I really should try out). Apart from that, the OS is pretty much the same as it was when it was released (though a lot more stable obviously).
It's an excellent piece of work, but it certainly should be cheaper because when you get right down to it, they didn't actually have to write it from scratch.

Steve Jobs knew about this in January... this says a lot about his vision. I'm confident that he is already well-prepared for this and has something up his sleeve to counter it.

if MS makes it cheaper than an iPod then Apple might have some trouble. Parents/grandparents who are technologically ignorant will generally buy whatever Bestbuy salesman pimps to them for their kid. So if it is cheaper than an iPod with similar functions then a lot will be bought.

well since i bought my christmas gift early (my ps3)!! well i was thinking to get one of the MIDI Keyboard Controller (M-Audio Oxygen 49 Key's) and Logic Express 9:apple: since i'm going travelling alot for the holiday seasons i need to play some music too and my current keyboard is way too big
