I scanned eldiablojoe last night. He is a WW.
Edit: Got out of the hospital and have been sleeping mostly since then. Now I wait for the biopsy results. Thanks for all those concerned.
Hopefully their scan is much more clean. Good luck.

Did anyone catch the Chuck Lorre Productions "vanity card" at the very end of this week's episode? I usually don't pay attention to the show, but I do watch Mike & Molly right afterward. I briefly saw Charlie Sheen's name on it, and had my wife rewind and pause it on the DVR.
In it, Chuck Lorre did a little joke at the whole situation, something along the lines of "I don't drink or smoke, I eat right, I exercise....", and at the very end, "If Charlie Sheen outlives me, I'm going to be really pissed."
Quite possibly the first time I ROFL'd at that show.

that's easy, macbook without backlit keyboard is too ugly to me.
Lol ok buddy. Hope your not waiting for there to be a backlit keyboard in the air because I doubt there will be. Apple took it out of the MBA for a reason not for the heck of it

do you know how dumb that is? He's moving on to a new company. Along with multiple other people. Also, he was dead on about the Verizon iPhone a YEAR before everyone else.
Dude. 1/2 the population GUESSED Verizon would be next to get iPhone... Are they all epic analysts?

Finally, no more need for 600 threads about the C2D MacBook Pros.
Of course, now we're going to get 600 threads about the C2D MacBooks. :(

How in the world would $20 a YEAR be too much? You are talking about streaming music from a company that goes to great lengths NOT to sell your information to others. If you're too cheap for that, then use free Pandora and have your whole life story sold off to people for god knows what.

Both computers now up-and-running. No complaints from the designers regarding poor performance :)
I'm running the standard client, I'll look into the other options when I got some spare time.
It's quite remarkable to see the performance boost compared to my G5 dual 1.8 that's been folding for years.
glad to hear it. just so you know, the bigadv units will get you some big time points. it really is worth it if the machine is fast enough, and i'm pretty sure those are

3.. 2.. 1.. FIGHT (ding ding)
We are buying apple products and or samsung products so they can toss the money in lawyers instead of r&d. Somebody really toke the Gene Simmons approach: "Make sure there are no incursions. Be litigious. Sue everybody. Take their homes, their cars. Don't let anybody cross that line.".

Maybe I need more RAM, but I was dissapointed to be reminded of Virtual PC, the way it totally slows the rest of my Mac down...

Ample supply of 64 Verizon at SCP for no, but was told by the mall cop that we were not allowed to "loiter" and he told everyone in the back of the line to leave or we would be forced to leave. Real nice.

Dude the South Coast Plaza security are grade A douchebags. They are definitely on a high horse... I guess a lot of people around that area are.

Caution: Specs don't mention IPS panel like with previous models. You never know.
Ok I see IPS mentioned under Features/Screen Appeal.

Hi, you all!
This iAdware thing is old news and has been already fixed in latest security update by Apple.
Greetings from Finland,
Toni
...
The iAdware is just one of the vulns discovered this month, the Month of Kernal Bugs found several problems in the kernel space of OSX. A few of these have been fixed, but others remain, Apple however responded quite quickly to the iAdware problem.

Blame Verizon then. Apple approached Verizon first, and Verizon was unwilling to allow Apple to have full control over the OS, the design of the iPhone .
Don't believe everything you read on the web, this is 100% not true. If Apple was in the business of limiting devices sales to the US market, Verizon would have been a great option. Fortunately, or unfortunately, (depending on how you look at it) GSM is essentially the global standard for 2G, so AT&T or T-mobile would have been the only possible carriers for the iPhone

Purchase spare battery? Nice Apple nice.
Wasn't there a 'purchase printer ink' in Tiger somewhere? I don't have a printer at home so can't check... but pretty sure I remember us having the 'OS as a shop' discussion a couple of years ago.

Been wanting a new TV for a while
DUDE! Was that online or in store? I will go buy one today if they have them at my store. Been wanting a tv as well. Do you like it? Is 40" good for gaming and hooking a laptop up to?

Using Apple.com prices for comparison, current Mighty Mouse is $49 and Bluetooth Mouse is $59.
I would like to see the Bluetooth Mighty Mouse at $59 or even better a Bluetooth Keyboard and Mighty Mouse Combo for $99.
Ditto - if the mouse is 70 dollars, there's no way I'll pay for it (I'm still surprised I forked over the 50 dollars for the last Mighty Mouse...)
My guess? They lower the price of the wired Mighty Mouse a bit, discontinue the other bluetooth mouse, and replace it with a bluetooth Mighty Mouse for 50-60 dollars. My hope? They offer a bundle, with both the wireless keyboard + mouse for 99 dollars or less.

I'm talking about portable music players that store music with a hard drive or flash memory that are NOT the Apple iPod models. In that case, it's only the higher-end players that support the AAC format, unless you buy Sony's current Walkman line of portable music players.
And I'll add/paraphrase from those who defend Apple to the end.
The average consumer doesn't want to think about formats and codecs - they just want to download a song and listen to it on whatever device they want to.
Stings a bit when the same argument praising Apple's "it just works" is used against them, aye?
