I just got back from International Plaza in Tampa, FL and they have the new Second-Generation iPod Shuffle in the store. They are not on display. I went up to the counter and asked for one and the guy had 4 behind another display.
I didn't ask how many they had in stock, but there were at least 3 at the time I left.
Got it all set up. The sound quality puts my 20GB touch-wheel with full-size FireWire connector iPod to shame.
The packaging, as expected, is pretty cool too.
[I tried to be as specific as possible on my iPod naming conventions ;-)]

He did it with an app called geektool. It takes a little know how to do, but there are plenty of dummy proof guides on youtube.
I used to use geektool until I got a few Kernal panics and I noticed my mac taking a performance hit from it. Be careful when your messing with system tweaks!
What is a Kernal Panic?
Im guessing I probably shouldn't mess with it then? I really enjoy having a stable system at the moment. This computer is just about perfect. Just wish I would have bought the 15" instead of 13" MBP. I will be taking it back tomorrow or the next day, weather permitting of course. Here in Dallas we have been getting some wicked nasty snow storms, for around here anyway.

Ah you visited Portugal. Did you like it?
I really did, it was such a nice place to let the 17-40 f4.0L stretch it's legs!
I was on a Cruise and hit alot of Countries in the Med, and honestly, while we were only in portugal for a short time, it and Spain were my favorite countries, albeit I was in Spain for three times the time I was in portugal for, Portugal still beat the tits off France. Food was awesome, Climate, Scenery, People....the wine. Okay Italy might have better food. But just barely :D

Atari has released a new emulator for the iPhone and iPad called Atari's Greatest Hits (http://appshopper.com/games/ataris-greatest-hits) [iTunes (http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/ataris-greatest-hits/id422966028?mt=8)]. The free universal download comes with Pong and also offers a selection of 100 classic Atari arcade and 2600 console games for in-app purchase. The full list of games can be seen here (http://toucharcade.com/2011/04/06/atari-brings-100-retro-titles-to-ios-in-ataris-greatest-hits/) but include Asteroids, Centipede, Crystal Castles, Gravitar, Star Raiders, Missile Command, Tempest, Battlezone, and much more. Each 4-pack is offered for $0.99 or all 100 games can be purchased for $14.99.
The package has been well received (http://toucharcade.com/2011/04/07/ataris-greatest-hits-review-my-god-its-full-of-pixels/) at sister site TouchArcade, but perhaps most promising is that Atari had previously announced support (http://www.macrumors.com/2011/01/08/ces-2011-icade-for-ipad-magic-mouse-inductive-charger/) for the iCade iPad gaming accessory.

Some of you by now may have noticed I always seem to have Michael Jackson or South Park wallpapers (Okay, I doubt any of you have noticed because I'm not well known) but I can't wait for his new album out in two weeks! (My wallpaper is part of the cover... had to crop it for my desktop size)
Might switch to a Christmasy wallpaper in a week or two...

Do u mind sharing the wallpaper please. I'm also a huge MJ fan. Thank in advance!

People were talking about proof...
From Wikipedia
Utilitarian arguments against torture
There is a strong utilitarian argument against torture; namely, that there is simply no scientific evidence supporting its effectiveness.[96]
The lack of scientific basis for the effectiveness of torture as an interrogation techniques is summarized in a 2006 Intelligence Science Board report titled "EDUCING INFORMATION, Interrogation: Science and Art, Foundations for the Future".[97]
Those favoring torture have however pointed to some specific cases where torture has elicited true information.[98]

That last one hardly sounds empirical.

Name one application that will run on a pro version and not the home, or vice versa.
You dont understand how OS version works? The newest version runs ALL software for the OS. Android 2.3 does exactly that. Of course an app written for 2.3 wont run on 1.6. Thats just common sense.

The logic remains problematic. It's like arguing that someone who was just in a car accident increased their chance of getting hurt by driving on the road in the first place. You are indeed blaming the victim.
No, the logic is more like blaming someone who didn't put a seatbelt on and died by flying through a windshield
You do realize that all social interactions are not business transactions right?
Not all social interactions need to be a chance for women to seduce men. When people constantly appeal to men's baser instincts why are they surprised when more men act on baser instincts?
The Burqua is worn to protect a woman's modesty and so they don't dress provocatively according to the standards of the country where the Burqua is worn.
Your views of what constitutes provocative dress is clearly less extreme than that but your opinion appears to be remarkably similar: "Women shouldn't dress provocatively."
It is wrong to make judgement of anyone based on how they are dressed: A woman (or man) may dress provocatively for a night out because they want to find a partner for the night or into the future. That doesn't mean they are an open door to any scumbag who thinks that they can violate them
The Burqa is as much about ownership as modesty, possibly more. Using a society where men buy their wives isn't a good comparison.
So the person is dressing slutty to get sex? Congratulations on confirming what I believe. The more you appeal to baser instincts the more people will act on said instincts...

Congrats on finishing your first semester of law school. Couple more things you will learn in the next couple of years:
1. Illegal does not mean criminal. There are many laws that create liability that are not criminal. Any tort law, for example. Copyright laws are another example. Thus, no one cares what any prosecutor would do.
2. You don't need a grand jury for all criminal charges. You definitely don't need one for false advertising.
randy, are you concluding this is false advertising?

For feature films and television these days, Final Cut is ABSOLUTELY the industry standard. Oh and in the 8 years I've lived in Hollywood, I never met one person in the industry who uses a Windows PC (maybe a writer or two).
False. Avid Media Composer is by far the most popular professional editing system. I work in moving image industry. Many turn key high end systems are Windows based.

Also for fun - try enabling password for the screensaver and 60 minute idle logout. Then put your laptop to sleep and come back 60 min later only to have hung login window that accepts no input - works that way every time for me.
Good thing the screensaver password dialog is the login window itself (even the same exact process) in Lion then, huh?
